Bulk Processing of Assets & Asset Grouping

You can choose multiple assets from the same or different business or service accounts and update them all at once using bulk asset processing. This function allows you to pick multiple assets and generate a quote or order for them. The assets can then either be changed individually, one at a time, or collectively, for a group of assets.

Assume that all assets in an ISP’s business account now support faster upload speeds. You can change the upload speeds for all assets in a parent business account’s multiple services accounts in a single operation.

The following are some of the advantages of bulk processing:

Flexibility  : Multiple subscribers, service locations, and Telco network sites can be renewed, amended, and cancelled by your users.

Accuracy : Actions on assets are validated in real time and asynchronously.

Hyper scale : Support massive transaction volumes for asset renewal, amendment, relocation, and disconnections.

When assets are moved to a quote or order, asset repricing either maintains or updates recurring pricing based on a pricing plan parameter. Your users are notified when bulk processing of assets completes or has an error.

Asset Grouping :

When an order or quote is created, Industries CPQ groups assets based on the offer ID. CPQ makes it simple to update multiple assets by grouping them.

You can delete the root bundle, add or remove optional child bundles, and update the attributes and fields of the root and child bundles for each group of assets. CPQ creates a job and notifies you that the job is being processed asynchronously after you specify the updates for a group of assets.

While CPQ processes the job in the background, you can select the next group of assets for which to specify updates. When the job is completed, you will be notified that the changes have been made.

Asynchronous Processing of Asset Updates :

Because Industries CPQ processes changes asynchronously, you can make changes to a large number of assets quickly and accurately. CPQ creates an asynchronous process to update assets for each bulk change of assets. Each individual change is divided into separate jobs by this asynchronous process. These jobs are then executed in order to update the assets.

When you submit a bulk update, CPQ sends you notifications, which you can access via the Notifications dropdown. When the process begins and when it succeeds or fails, CPQ sends a notification. You can get more information about the status by clicking on the notifications. In the Asynch Processes tab, you can also view process details or a specific job within a process.
